My abstract work is usually done in acrylic and often with mixed media materials such as rice paper, metals, metal foils, and texture mediums. These paintings often take on a geologic appearance, so I like to call them "geologic abstracts."

Poppies are my favorite flower and you'll find a lot of them here. Many of my floral paintings have a good deal of surface texture. Many also contain collage materials for visual interest.

The subject matter of these small paintings is very diverse, ranging from animals to still lifes. Their small size makes them very affordable. Some are framed with black shadow box, some are painted on gallery wrap (1.5 inch deep) canvas, and some on masonite panel, unframed.

Most paintings in this collection feature the beauty of Colorado and the West.

Most of the paintings in this collection originated in my 100 PORTRAITS IN 100 DAYS project. Each portrait is done in fauvist style, so vibrant colors and strong brushwork is a predominant feature.

These paintings are actually 3D wall sculptures comprised of several wood layers, painted papers, foils, and found objects.
Each "COMBINATION" stands out from the wall a considerable distance. Shadows created by the various components are part of the composition.
Since they are heavier than conventional paintings, shipping is a little more.

After these reproductions are printed on stretched canvas, I hand embellish each one with Golden professional grade acrylic paints to bring out the maximum color and clarity. They measure 14 x 14 inches by 1.25 inches deep with black sides. Each one is finished with two coats of varnish with UV filters to ensure the color brilliance.
I am able to offer these beautiful versions of my original paintings for an incredibly low price of $125, including shipping. Please allow two weeks for delivery.
