SPRING 2011 NEWSLETTER
Hello art lovers!
Here in Colorado, new leaves are appearing, daffodils are blooming, and winter grays have given way to spring greens.
There is always something so hopeful about the start of a new season. I think the first day of the year should be
April 1st, not January 1st.
I’ve been holed up in my basement studio and it seems like I only get out when I have to teach a class or a workshop.
I finished teaching an Experimental Acrylics class in Park Hill recently and we only missed one week due to a snow storm,
so that was pretty fortunate. I also just finished conducting my third Metals and Mixed Media in Littleton. Look at some
of the work my classes produced:

The last two on the right are two of my demo pieces. Each one is 6x6.

NEW GALLERY
I am pleased to announce that I recently joined a gallery in Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District.
C.C.Opeila Gallery is known for it’s bold, contemporary art. C.C. herself is a fabulous artist with a flair for colorful
abstracts and florals. Here’s a couple of my works that can now be found at the gallery at 840 Santa Fe Dr. in Denver.

ON MY CALENDAR
April 30th and May 1st , I, along with several artists from the Parker Artists Guild, will be in the Parker Artist Guild’s
SPRING ART SHOW. It will be held at Southeast Christian Church in Parker. Please check the Parker Artists Guild
website for more information.
In May, I will be part of a painting exhibition at Brushstrokes Gallery in Denver hosting Daily Painters of Colorado,
of which I am a member. We will have a reception for the show on first Friday, May 6th. The piece I will have in
the show is called CANYON COLORS.
CANYON COLORS
The following week in May, my daughter, Suzanne, will be getting married in Albuquerque. Then, after getting home
from that, I will be turning right around to go to Texas to give a week long workshop in Granbury, Texas.
You can see that May is going to be frantic for me – it’s a good thing I love this stuff.
Please feel free to share this newsletter with anyone you think might be interested. Over and out……
